Efficient CW Yellow Laser Generation at 558/561 nm under Direct Diode-Pumping

The International Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics(SOPO 2014)——We demonstrate a continuous-wave (cw) yellow laser at 558/561 nm generation by intracavity frequency doubling of a direct diode-end-pumped Nd:YAG laser. Watts-level cw output power with high brightness and high stability is achieved.By pumping the neodymium ion directly into the emitting level with a diode-end-pumped scheme, as high as ~1.5, 2.3 W yellow laser output at 558, 561 nm were achieved. This laser can be an attractive alternative to the medical laser instrument.
