Researches on microring resonator modulators by using signal flow graphs

The International Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics(SOPO 2014)——A general numerical solution for the dynamics of microring resonator modulators is proposed by using signal flow graphs. Fields are calculated according to the signal flow graphs. The solution is suitable for many kinds of microring resonator modulators. Coupling modulation resonators with symmetric Mach-Zehnder Interferometer coupling regions are studied by the method. Results show that the method provides theoretical rigor and wide applicability to microring resonator devices.
