Spatial variability in aeolian dune field patterns
The Eighth International Conference on Aeolian Research(ICAR VIII 2014)——Similar line patterns form under very different flow regimes,at different scales and within different boundary conditions-fluids,grains,gravity.The upwind margins of point or line-sources dune fields provide an ontogeny of bed form development.Aeolian bed forms integrate winds over a wide range of time scales.
