Fast pyrolysis of sugarcane bagasse using Mo2C/Al2O3

第二届国际生物质催化炼制大会(CATBIOR 2013)——The use of molybdenum carbide together with sand leads to a drastic decrease in the levoglucosan concentration in the bio-oil during the fast pyrolysis of sugarcane bagasse. Smail amounts of catalyst double the furanics concentration in the bil-oil. Increasing the catalyst in the bed leads to a dacrease in the viscosity of bio-oil making it suitable to further processing with hydrogen in a second stage.
