Response plasticity of wheat root system to future climates
第十一届国际旱地发展会议——ECO2 had different effects on root growth and proliferation in the two sister lines for vigorous growth,but not in the sister lines for tillering.The reduction in root biomass was not compensated by a greater production of shoot biomass or more tillers.The reduction in root biomass under ECO2 was associated to the inability of increasing the sink strength for C.The loss of root vigour under ECO may affect the uptake of water and nutrients.
