Bone Cell Response to Titanium and Zirconia Dental Implant Surfaces Immoblized with Biomolecules Using Natural Cross-linker(1)

第二届海峡两岸功能材料科技与产业峰会(2015)——We developed a surface treatment capable of improving the response of bone cells to bioinert titanium (Ti) and zirconia (ZrO2) surfaces in dental implant applications. A natural cross-linker, genipin, was used to immobilize the biomolecules on bioinert Ti and ZrO2 surfaces (type I collagen on Ti; fibronectin and bone morphogenetic protein-2 on ZrO2).
