Fingerprinting of Cotton Hybrids and their Parental Lines Using Microsatellite Markers and their Utilization in Genetic Purity Assessment
International Conference on Agricultural and Biological Sciences(ABS2015)——The present study indicates that SSRs and Microsatellites banding pattern of the parents compared with it's respective hybrid is able to clearly recognize the true hybrid and it's profile showed that PCR based molecular markers, are likely to be promising for identification and genetic purity testing of commercial cotton seeds, and to be a more reliable tool for seed certification.
