Preparation and Growth Mechanism of Newly Shaped Gold Nanoplates
2014 Spring World Congress on Engineering and Technology (SCET 2014)——When sticky gel of aqueous HAuCl4 solution mixed with surfactant poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) was kept at room temperature (about 30 ℃), HAuCl4 can be reduced by surfactant PVP. In this study, gold nanoplates were mass-synthesized through adjusting the crystal growth conditions. Based on theoretical calculation, we present the growth mechanism of the new-type Au nanoplates.
