The 8th Asia-Pacific Power and Energy Engineering Conference(APPEEC 2016)——This presentation firstly introduces the recent development of condition monitoring and fault diagnosis for power apparatus. It discusses the current problems of the techniques applied in this research field, then it focuses on the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis techniques dedicated to power transformers and circuit breakers. Finally, the future development trend and its potential applications in this research area are explored.
