Synthesis of zeolite Na-P1 from South African coal fly ash:effect of using different water sources
The 4th Spring World Congress on Engineering and Technology (SCET 2015)——Synthesis of zeolitic compounds from South African coal fly ash has been demonstrated as another alternative route towards the management of the environmental issues associated with the disposal of the ash in the Republic. Zeolite Na-P1 has been successfully synthesised from fly ash using ultra pure water. This study showed the effect of using different water sources (such as municipal water, distilled water and acid mine drainage (AMD) water) for the synthesis of zeolite NaP1 with a view to scale up the process.
