Study on electro-optical jamming effect on TV seekers by flight test
The International Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics(SOPO 2014)——The effect and mechanism of smokescreen and stealth jamming on TV seekers are investigated by seeker captive flight jamming test. Based on a comprehensive analysis of large amounts of test results, we have discovered the laws of smokescreen and stealth jamming effect on the performance of TV seekers, such as tracking status, tracking error, measurement of line-of-sight angle and its angular rate. A rational explanation for the laws has also been presented based on the principle of stabilization of seeker optical axis. The results are not only useful for evaluating smokescreen and stealth jamming effect on TV guidance missiles, but also referential for the study of smokescreen and stealth mechanism and the anti-jamming design of imaging seekers.
