Controls on aeolian sediment dynamics by natural riparian vegetation in the eastern Tarim Basin,NW China
The Eighth International Conference on Aeolian Research(ICAR VIII 2014)——Vegetation can retain sediment in an effective way.It is responsible for a low risk of sand grift along 73% of the National Highway 218 in the investigation area.The restoration with "ecological water" can only reduce the sediment dynamics in potential flooding areas,not in the overall area.
