Climate change, water conservation and crop yields in south-western Australia and the Loess Plateau of China(1)

第十一届国际旱地发展会议——This video is talking about the climate change. The professior think that the mean temperatures will continue to rise over the next 40 years for this should benefit farmers in north and west of China. And that the rainfall will decrease in south-west Australia causing cropping to move further to the south west. The water conservation through terracing, mulching and conservation tillage will buffer farmers against climate change.Frequency of extreme temperatures and long dry spells are increasing and likely to cause major difficulties for dryland farmers and for food security.
